The top policies will include fostering a carbon trading market, promoting vaccine development, and preventing the return of poverty. At the end of 2020, China became the third country to bring back rock samples from the earth’s moon – the first such stones to be brought to earth in four decades. Now those samples are on display in the National Museum of China (pictured at top). The museum's director told The Telegraph that he hopes the display will help “inspire people to dream, create, and strive for the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.”
Beijing, in cooperation with Hong Kong and the EU, is mulling over a “vaccine passport” system that could ease international travel for inoculated individuals, The Wall Street Journal reports. The system would likely operate digitally, much like Beijing’s Health Kit app, and might be used to allow holders to skip the quarantine period, provided they can also turn up a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test.
